When I started this business back in 1999 I was really into Flash. Back in those days, working alone in my rented bedroom, I did absolutely everything in Flash. I liked the more tactile feeling you could get from a website with Flash– it acted more like a multimedia project or videogame, and I could direct the experience, control every aspect of the presentation and layout. A Choose Your Own Adventure film, basically.
These days you can get a lot of the same effects that use to be solely the domain of Flash by leveraging javascript libraries like jQuery. We love jQuery here. You may notice that we’ve leveraged it a bit on this site.
Anyway, while scouring Digg the other day I found a post that breaks down some pretty useful jQuery plugins:Â here it is.
